Intravenous Therapy

One of the most important ways to stay healthy and prevent disease is to eat a balanced and healthy diet. However, there are a variety of reasons that your body may not be getting the nutrients it needs.

One of the more common causes of nutrient deficiency is a poor diet. The body simply does not get enough of the vitamins and minerals it needs. Yet even with an excellent diet there can be poor absorption causing low nutrient status. This can result from a variety of common issues including acute or chronic stress, excess or deficient stomach acid, intestinal imbalance, ulcers, allergies, diarrhea, constipation, gas, and bloating. There is also a greater demand for nutrients with chronic stress, insomnia, athletics, pregnancy, travel, viral or bacterial infections, pharmaceuticals, surgery, or chronic illness.

Using intravenous therapy is an excellent way to increase nutritional status. It enables patients to bypass digestive limitations and supply the body with a medicinal dose of essential nutrients.  This ensures absorption and delivery of nutrients at the cellular level.

Treatments range from 20 minutes to 45 minutes depending on the nutritional status and needs of the patient. An intravenous push of therapeutic doses of vitamins and minerals is used and can include: magnesium, calcium, zinc, selenium, vitamin B complex, vitamin C and occasionally glutathione or hydrogen peroxide.

Patients experience immediate and long term results after the treatment.  As with any IV therapy, there may be mild irritation or bruising at the injection site. Some patients may feel a mild flush or taste the B vitamins.   Intravenous nutrient therapy is a fast, safe, and extremely effective treatment for a wide range of clinical conditions.
